Actually the billboard was shot in October 2007, but the image was used for most of 2008. So here I post this picture anyway in my series of 2008 commercial work.

As with the former 3 images the client did not provide us with the electronic tear sheet material. So I had to go out and photograph the banner/billboard out on the street. Contrary to the former 3 images, I do not post the actual image used for the billboard. I have a special reason for that. Because I did not actually click the camera to produce the image on the billboard.

It was a rush job this shoot, and we were shooting in a rented studio, everybody, agency, client, models and myself were stressing to get the images out that were missing for the launch of the clients campaign. As a professional photographer, you are a true multitasker, keeping clients happy, being a sort of creative director your self, counterpart of the agency and the clients art director. So after hours opf preparation we finally get the first images to the laptop.

So while I was discussing the images shot over my laptop with the client and the agency, I asked my assistant to keep the models busy so they would not loose it since I felt they were getting at the right mood and I did not want to loose that at the meanwhile very very late hour.

While keeping the models busy Fausto Fraser produced this shot which ended up being the moneyshot for the evening. The image was used as a billboard and as a calling card for the telecom company.

Now, this corner in the commercial center of Paramaribo, has my eye on it for a while since I want to do a fashion shoot on this location. So I did 2 things on a Sunday afternoon. First of course shoot 'our" billboard and second shoot the loacation. Well and a third actuallynwas done at home behind my computer, trying to HDR" the resulting images from that afternoon.
