photoblog image Edwin Graham
Simson's Gym is on of Suriname's most popular Thai Boxing Schools, you can read more about them at http://www.simsongym.com/
Two weeks ago I went to their training as some huge fights are coming up now for the end of the year and had a great time with Fausto and Rafael. Now you understand what inspired Fausto in my previous post. I will show some of the terrific fighters from Simson's Gym this week.Starting out with the first real fighter in front of my camera, Edward Graham, still sweating after the training.
I am sure that there are some girls out there who will be charmed by the muscles of these fighters, sure someting different from the women I most frequently post on my blog.
This was shot as a freelance shoot, Owner, Fighter, and Surinamese Hero, Angelo Simson, will be fighting on Monday and has used one of his pictures for T-Shirt merchandsing. So if you are able to get one of these shirts, you'll have both a Simson's Gym T-Shirt and a bodyNsoul Photography print!!!

I think it is great that you are mixing up your subject matter, especially with a well executed shot like this one.
Patrick Krolis: Hey Martin, I do agree, it is nice to show the world that there is more than beautiful women in front of my camera smile

lovely image. Great lighting. Superb subject. I wouldn't wanna pick a fight with this man!
Patrick Krolis: oh no, sure I would strongly advise against picking a fight with him, I saw the training and I can tell you that is an amount of energy those guys have, thanks for the compliments!!

His toned body, wrapped fists, and eyes tells me he is fighter. But his stance tells me he is a man of emotions. Something about the way his holding his body and his mouth makes him look so human (if you get my meaning). I am not sure if that was your intention, but I think it makes this photograph even more appealing. At least for me as I am the Lady with the Sharp Sword and Soft Heart.
Patrick Krolis: i fully understand you. maybe not fully intentional, but if I look back to the shots from which I selected this one, I would tend to agree with you there is a certain soft side to him here. I guess sharp swords and soft hearts know...

This is good. He looks so focused, determined almost. I also like the dark background
Patrick Krolis: thank you Ellie, you clearly prefer my more recent work smile, the fighters are great guys. the trianing schedule by itself is a endurance test of determination...

i can see the lefts and rights coming at me...boom boom. My knees are gone! Boom boom, i go down...OUCH! Hectic sport this and the pic shows it brilliantly.
Patrick Krolis: oh yes, a very hectic sport, as I was watching the training I couldn't help but to move closer to the wall and further from the fighters at each punch, jab or kick smile

Zebigleb from France 23 Dec 2007, 17:21

Fantastic portrait, very nice subject. I'm sure Mal's still got a six pack, he's just lost the plastic bit that holds it all together.
Patrick Krolis: Thank you very much Aussie!!! There are no Roo's in my backyard so I have to do it with these characters :d Seems like they are stealing plastic bits, since I seem to have lost mine too LOL
