Seems like the internet facility is finally functioning properly again, the connection through the optical cable has been restored.. Hey I am back!! Oh how I missed Shutterchance.

This shot is from the same Atelier Dore show, as the previous Atelier Dore 1 - 5 posts in my archives.
I tried some manual Photoshop on this image did not save all the layers, but still remember what I did. Curves, Gaussian Blur, Channel Mixer Monochrome 60/40/10, Layer blending till 38% transparency, all not necessarily in that order.
As you view the earlier Atelier Dore images eg, Atelier Dore 1, you wil see that I used a NIK filter with customized settings to achieve that effect, I wanted to create something similar, but purely manual. I did not strive to 100% duplicate the effect of the filter, but was rather looking for some own flavor to the recipe.

IMHO the effect is a bit too much. But I like what you are trying to achieve. May be you are looking at something called Orton effect.

Patrick Krolis: Interesting I didn't know about this until you showed it to me, I did not have the Orton effect in mind when doing this, but it is nonetheless an interesting view. I wanted the effect like this actually
