photoblog image Courtney
OK now this is post 101, orfeason for me to be sad since the Shutterchance team is really great as they have found a temporary solution for the issue mentioned in my previous post. So all your wonderfull comments are still in my archives and you can still go back and take a look through my archives and enjoy bothe the comments and the pictures.

Last Friday I went into the studio after quite a long time, still looking at the material, but wanted to share Courtney already with you today...

UPDATE: I really live in a third world country. Since Sunday the 6th of May a ship sailed through the intercontinental optical fibre cablle called the Americas II. As a result Suriname, Guyana and French Guyana are cut off from the internet. I had this image in the cue just before it happenend. Backup systems are non-existent or poor. It will take at least another 14 days to repair. Can't upload anything until then. Missing the Shutterchance community!!

really glad to see you posting again Patrick!

This pose and expression from Courtney is to die for and the lighting is fantastic! The image is simply beautiful. mal
Patrick Krolis: Thank you very much Mal, Courtney is a wonderful person, a pity she is heading back to Virginia today, we could have had some more wonderful shoots

Suzanne 7 May 2007, 03:00
Great to have you back, Patrick! Great expression you captured!
Patrick Krolis: thank you three times Suzanne!!! I am disconnected for 14 more days will be posting more soon ...

Nice framing, lighting and tones. Liked this one....
Patrick Krolis: thank you very much for the comment Anup, I played with the tones after a reading a discussion somewhere here on Shutterchance. I did arrive at a tone I would normally not have considered, but I liked it too

Petra 7 May 2007, 18:39
Lovely capture of courtney Patrick! since you've toned the shot i am not sure but i think she must have great red hair ...
good to see you back!
Patrick Krolis: Hey Petra, thank you for the comment. Actually I am in doubt whether to tell you the color of her hair or not. Photography in this way, is part what you see, but an even greater part what you experience by looking at it. So if the image comes to live for you with red hair I should leave that impression with you. smile thank you very much for the welcoming words!!

I'm glad the team have found some sort of solution for you Patrick, I think you'll find there is more then just me who admire and learn from your work. Courtney has lovely eyes hince a great expression which you have brought out.

Patrick Krolis: Thanks Johnny, the team is fabulous, thank you for the compliments on Courtney, she is truly a remarkable person, a pity that I met her so late in her stay in Suriname, if not i would have photographed more of her. BTW, I love the new direction you are experimenting with in your photography too!!!
