For todays post I did some PP on one of my earlier images that I had posted as is. "V. Williams" can be seen at http://bodynsoul.shutterchance.com/photoblog/51456.htm in its original state, I would love to know your comments on the post processing.

I am testing a black background with this image, let me onow what you think about that as well.

As you might remember I loved the first image and this one for me is awsome. I'm not one for much pp but when someone does a great job you just have to say well done mate. Don't know why but I really like etheral images and this one is right up there. I'd love to see how this prints out.
Patrick Krolis: Thank you very much Johnny, i am glad I made this pp to your liking. You also put up anothyer challenge for me, Now I would like to print it out, I will think of ways of sharing that result with you too smile

adebanji alabi 16 Apr 2007, 01:07
how did you do this?
Patrick Krolis: photoshop and plugins, well ok, You see the first shot (see link in my photographers comment), first I used NIK Color Efex Pastel filter on it, tweaked the settings to my liking, the I used DxO Film Pack filter on it only using the gold toning setting, and viola, actually since I had exactly in mind what i wanted the whole PP did not take too long, I am happy with the result, glad you liked it too...

nice high key image. would have loved to see the face.
Patrick Krolis: not showing the face was the deal with the model smile I worked from there, decided I wanted to do some higkey work, and her posing was fabulous during the wole shoot, love the result

this is beautiful. i love the lighting effects and her pose is just stunning.
Patrick Krolis: thank you very much Genevieve!!! Thank you very much, I am glad you like it, I got some very critical remarks on another website where I also posted this today, and was actually not sure whether I had done it right, when I did the PP I was quite estatic about it, when the comments on the other website came I was full of doubt, the comments on Shutter, and especially your vote, has given me my confidnce back wink thank you so much, now my challenge is, as Johnny requested, to print

Hi Patrick, I remember this Feb. 03 photo as it's one of my likeys. This version has a very ethereal, dreamy feel to it. Your Lovely treatment works well with her delicate grace. I am wondering what is that pale circle between her bent elbows.
Patrick Krolis: Thank you very much Suzanne, thank you very very much. I myself love the ethereal feel it provokes.
The pale circle on her elbows is actually lens flare, the flash on the right of the image was directed a bit too much in the lens. When I did the image I wanted some high key feel and went on a bit too aggressive on the light.

I like what you have done here with this image

Patrick Krolis: thank you Suby, thank you very much. I am glad you like it, now my task is to print a huge print out of this I will most probably try to print it out gallery style.

Both compositions are equal of good and interesting. I would be decided by one or another one based on where she is placed!
Patrick Krolis: thank you José-Angel. Gracias, both images are the same actually. The February 3 image is the original. I took it straight from the camera and posted it, on the April 16 image, i have taken that February 3 image and post processed it to this result. Glad you like it.

PS. the thing with the links does not work, maybe I should try it from Firefox, maybe my Internet Explorer 7 just won't accept the link. I'll put the issue in the forums.

nicely done dude....12/10
Patrick Krolis: Thank you very very much!!! I love this image myself, and need to be honest that i am looking at it several times a day. strange huh, how something can speak to your imagination so much? 12/10, does that mean 12 out of 10? that is certainly the highest score I've ever got on anything I did smile Thanks again!!!

I like the calm ambience here, I'm just wondering how would it work with increased contrast ...
Patrick Krolis: check out this version at the zoom.nl gallery. If you like it, I will post it on shutterchance as well. check it out at http://gallery.zoom.nl/image/482135/v--williams-rewind.html

The PP'ing gives a very out-of-the-light feel (for the lack of a better phrase). I like!
Patrick Krolis: Thank you very much Mia. I am sad you left the shutterchance community, why not post on 2 blogs? GLad you liked the photograph, will visit you on Aminus3!!!
