Usually I'd say Vanity Fair has a lot to answer for but I like this one bruv, I like it a lot.
Patrick Krolis: You'll have to expain the Vanity Fair comment to me smile but I am glad you liked the shot. Actually I like it that i can show that the skills I try to develop not only work on naked men and woman, but that it is a true style I am developing here smile

Patrick Krolis: Thanks Man. I a glad you liked this one too. See what I mean in my former reply, this one has less views that the other picture at http://bodynsoul.shutterchance.com/photoblog/51477.htm but has a lot more comments smile

Beautiful Photo and symbolism.
Patrick Krolis: Thank you John. When we did the shoot the model who was in her first pregnancy mentioned what stuff she had brought with her, This was the shot I had in mind to shoot. I'll post one for the valentines theme from the same shoot.

Incredbily beautiful shot, Patrick! You are a master in your use of light. I love the cross upon her baby belly. Makes me think that each newborn carries within the potential to bring into the world a light that can outshine darkess. Gorgeous! Happy Valentine!
Patrick Krolis: Thank you very much Suzanne. You are a master in your choice of words smile Happy Valentine too

There can't be anything more beautiful than this Patrick. Perfect in every way. Happy Valentine!
Patrick Krolis: Thank you very much jose. Your rose also shows the beauty of life from within. Isn't this an approproate way to share this valentines day?

Simply beautiful.
Patrick Krolis: Simpel words have sometimes the strongest emotions in them. It is like photogrpahy. Lees is most of the times better. I try to achieve that with little light and close crops. Thank you for the compliment

beautiful light. just wonderful
Patrick Krolis: Thank you Nev, Thank you. It is funny but as try to define my own style by the use of light it is an extra pleasant comment when somebody compliments me on my use of light. thank you very much.

this is a beautiful shot, however the cross does nothing for me and in my own opinion ruins the shot.
Patrick Krolis: The cross is included because it had a strong emotional link with the model. She actually insisted on shooting with the cross. Some might even see a certain symbolism in the inclusion of the cross. Actually it is part of "prayer beads" (is that what you call them in English?)

But then again I respect your opinion and can see that it would work different without the cross. You have take a look at todays post...thank you for commenting and for the compliments of course.

Elsie 17 Feb 2007, 14:04
This is beautiful. I think the cross adds to the depth and mood of the shot. For me, it gives more meaning to the shot in a way.
Patrick Krolis: Thank you very much for the compliment and the comment Elsie. Actually now that you say this you gave me an idea. There is one photograph in the shoot, which has even more deprth and the cross. I'll post it tonight. Hope you'll come back to enjoy that too.
