Hi Patrick, I have been taking a look at your archive and have to say how impressed I am with your work. You are amazing in your use of light and showing the female form in a way that is at times brazen, and at others very poetic. Bravo for this image and all others where I failed to comment but was appreciative nonetheless.
Patrick Krolis: Thank you very much Suzanna. Thank you so much. I am glad you like my photography. Hope I keep you interested in the future smile I just saw that you also have a D-200 (I also own one) and that you have the lens I am craving for the 18-200 VR!!! You seem to make beautiful pictures with it. I particularly like your landscapes. What a beautiful place you live. I should go more slowly through your collection. Today's image is a masterpiece, and the combination with the poetry is stunning!!!!

Usted hace un poco de trabajo muy agradable con los modelos y se enciende y sombra. Por lo general no comento sobre estos tipos de fotos, pero su trabajo esta completamente bien.
You do some very nice work with posing and light and shadow. I usually do not comment on these types of images, but your work is quite good.

Patrick Krolis: Thank you very much Neil. I really apreciate your compliment. I try to get better at what I do best. I tried different types of photography, but the work I show here actually is a discovery of a visual expression of myself. The true photogrpahic me. I am trying to establish my photogrpahic identity here smile

For me I'd rather not be "a jack of all trades and a master of none" Just trying to be a master, and if i look around I still have a long way to go. But as they say, it is not about the destination, it is the journey I enjoy and share with you here.

Beautiful, I love the contrasting metal texture with the skin tones!
Patrick Krolis: Thank you Carl. Welcome to Shutterchance. Of course this one is not naturally lit, but iluminated with a flash, when I started converting the picture I initially lowered the saturation but the effect was not good enough, so I opted for full B/W conversion using the channel mier and viola, the textures popped out. I ove the metal/skin texture myself very much. I find you get the same feeling with the picture you posted on january 8 in your archives.

Hello Patrick ! I would like to thank you for the nice comment you've left on one of my picture... No, I don't sell my pictures because I haven't enough time to proceed to professionnal treatment... but I do not desesperate !! smile
Your pictures are very professionnal too... are you working as a professionnal, in a studio ?

chris p from the Isle of Wight 9 Jan 2007, 17:10
Mmmmmmmmmmm, nice smile
Patrick Krolis: Thank you so much Chris, glad you like it!!! Hope you keep on enjoying!!!

The reason I hate flashes is because of its general misuse. When you use a studio flash with a diffuser or softbox, it is an entirely different matter to me.

Again well done on a well executed image
Patrick Krolis: That makes sense, a lot of sense. Now I can only agree with you. i hate (misused) flashes smile Thanks for the compliment

This is a classic shot!!!!
Patrick Krolis: Thank you very much for your comment. Glad you liked it too. Hope to keep you interested along the way smile Classic, that is a real compliment.

Very beautiful.
I think its quite similar to the VW girl shot, though here the light and shadows work to really put the emphasis on the butterfly. My own very humble opinion smile
Patrick Krolis: Thank you very much. I myself did not get the similarity to the VW girl. Very interesting that you saw it like that. I should go through both myslef and try to udnerstand better what creative forces were at work smile It is the only way to improve, thanks for pointing it out to me!!
